visprint books (and more!) at uno morato

Uno Morato is a bar, bookstore, and arts venue. Established by young artists coming from the indie/alternative/DIY tradition of artistic production, the store takes that spirit and creates a physical space for artists to convene, share ideas, and promote their work. The store sells books, comics, music, DVDs, artwork, merchandise, and other art-related products made by Filipino artists. Uno Morato is also a place to hang out and have smart conversations, attend stimulating discussions, and join in a variety of workshops catering to a great range of interests.

Dwellers by Eliza Victoria

Novel in English
Horror/Fantasy/Crime/Suspense

Rule No. 1: You don’t kill the body you inhabit.
Rule No. 2: You should never again mention your previous name.
Rule No. 3: You don’t ever talk about your previous life. Ever.

Two young men with the power to take over another body inhabit the bodies and lives of brothers Jonah and Louis. The takeover leads to a car crash, injuring Jonah’s legs and forcing them to stay in the brothers’ house for the time being.

The street is quiet. The neighbors aren’t nosy. Everything is okay.

They are safe, for now.

Until they find a dead body in the basement.

UP Press is coming out with the third Estranghero Press book, Demons of the New Year. “Salot” first appeared in this anthology.

That’s it for now. I need to gargle with Bactidol.

project 17, a novel – coming soon

So I’m coming out with a science fiction novel this year. I finished the manuscript late last year, continued editing until early this year, approved the cover, approved the interior illustrations, and now I’m just waiting for the page spreads. With the help of Visprint (publisher), Project 17 should be hitting the bookshelves soon. Watch out for it!

For now, feel free to share this post far and wide. Are you ready ready ready?

UPDATE: The book will be launched in this Saturday’s Aklatan! See you there.

Caleb is suffering from schizoaffective disorder, and Paul, who is about to start on his first office job in a long while, wants to make sure his brother takes his medication on time. Lillian, at first hesitant, accepts the job for the pay and the perks, but soon starts to wonder about the brothers she is working for. How come she can’t find any information online about the drugs Caleb is taking? And how come the national central database lists them as dead?
