Okay, let’s do this in chronological order because I am so behind in my blogging duties. Sorry about that! (To the three of you who care!)

Dr. Who Philippines 50th Anniversary Party

I would have missed this, if not for J. We were not members of the Whovian Philippines group on Facebook, but thankfully J was able to catch the invitation online from Honey de Peralta (of Flipside and the Filipino ReaderCon), and I was able to email Shani Tan (of Aromateria) in order to secure the last remaining slots. Hooray for last-minute plans!

We borrowed a friend’s little desktop Dalek for the party. (Thanks Dan!)

Nice decor at the washroom area.

I was blown away by the costumes of the attendees! I definitely did not expect to see a life-size Dalek in there.

I bought a Dalek shirt. :) (I don’t understand my sudden fixation, but there you go.)

The party was held at the Roofdeck of One San Miguel Avenue. Look at the view. How beautiful.

There was a mini Dr. Who GeekFight, which we were only glad to sit out because holy shit we would have failed. Miserably. Hardcore fans are hardcore.

I enjoyed the loot bag because it was mostly candy!

Congratulations to the organizers. We had a great time.

3rd Filipino ReaderCon

Thank you to Honey de Peralta and the rest of the Filipino ReaderCon team for having me as panelist with THE Gerry Alanguilan! My thanks also to Carljoe Javier for his very generous introduction. I enjoyed talking about the books and stories I treasure at the Authors as Readers panel. Maraming salamat sa mga nakinig at nakiusisa!
